Pip Value Calculator
What is pip value?
Pip value is how much money one pip of price movement is worth for your position. It depends on your lot size, the contract size, and the pair. For a standard lot (100,000 units) of a USD-quoted pair, one pip is worth about $10; for a mini lot it's about $1.
Knowing your pip value turns pips into real money — it's how you translate a 20-pip stop loss into a dollar risk, which is the basis of every position-size decision.

Frequently asked questions
How much is one pip worth?
For a standard lot (100,000 units) of a USD-quoted pair like EUR/USD, one pip is worth about $10. For a mini lot (10,000 units) it's about $1, and for a micro lot (1,000 units) about $0.10.
How do you calculate pip value?
Pip value = lot size × contract size × pip size. The pip size is 0.0001 for most pairs and 0.01 for JPY pairs. The result is in the quote currency of the pair.
Why does pip value matter?
Pip value converts price movement into money. It lets you turn a stop loss in pips into a dollar risk, which is essential for sizing positions and protecting a prop-firm drawdown limit.
